Community rights initiative

This program is a marvelous resource for entry into community affairs in Liberia. The program covers active work for greater public participation in the decisions that affect the management and control of Liberia’s natural resources and its economy as mandated by Article 7 of the Liberian Constitution; it also provides for several rural-based organizations, slum, and squatters’ communities, trade union among others, by empowering them through training and technical assistance to independently undertake rights-based and community-based human and natural resources rights advocacy by engaging various stakeholders to debate and take action at the community level.
